Plaintiff, Roberto Emilio Sanchez Pena, is the owner of the Copyright Registrations that protect the creative content of the Roberto Pena Works. Pena is a digital illustrator and graphic designer. He creates and sells products featuring his designs under the name, “Coffee Man.” His artistic style is fun, lighthearted, and rooted in humor, often incorporating vibrant colors and themes inspired by pop culture, nature, animals, and food. Pena has been drawing for as long as he can remember, but he started working professionally while working as an art director at an agency. There he had the opportunity to work with several brands, creating illustrations for packaging, brand identity, and other commissions. In 2015, he began submitting his designs to print-on-demand websites and other platforms where he could sell his products. Since then, Pena has won several design challenges and been featured on these websites. He believes laughter is the best medicine and hopes his illustrations can bring a little joy to someone’s day.
