ELLEN LYNN NEGLEY, is the owner of the Copyright Registrations that protect the creative content of the Ellen Negley Works. Negley is a watercolor artist who focuses on capturing the tropical essence of Florida’s coastal enclaves. Guided by her motto “more color, more happy,” she seeks out fun, quirky settings full of energy where she can unleash her unique vision of the world with bold, exciting colors. Negley worked for many years in the advertising and graphic design field, but her true passion has always been painting, and her goal was to eventually make a living off her own art. She began her Etsy shop in 2012 and slowly builtup sales to the point where she was able to leave her job in 2021 to pursue painting full time. During this time Negley also secured a contract with Bealls Florida where her paintings were applied to apparel, bags, dishes, and more. Her work has been featured on fine art show posters, marketing materials, magazine covers, and apparel. She has received awards such as the M. Graham Watercolor Merchandise Award from the Transparent Watercolor Society in 1999, and she also holds signature status with the Florida Watercolor Society, with her work appearing in multiple publications.
