Brand Introduction:
Plaintiff, EVL Productions, is the owner of the Copyright Registrations that protect the creative content of the Erni Vales Works. Erni Vales is an artist who creates all the Erni Vales Works. Erni Vales is best known for his development of the 3D graffiti style technique, colorful murals, and creative production design. Erni Vales was first introduced to graffiti and the emerging culture of Hip Hop while attending the High School of Art and Design. He used subway cars, walls, and canvas as mediums for expression before showing his work at Graffiti Productions Inc., one of the first galleries to feature authentic graffiti work. These shows, greatly received by the press, fans, and collectors, become the solid foundation to an extraordinary career. Erni Vales then honed his talent through an array of mediums including hand painted clothing, murals in television, film, and nightclubs in several international cities, and a thirteen-year collaboration with famed photographer David LaChappelle. While in Hollywood in 1993, Erni Vales painted his first “3D graffiti” piece for fun, which sparked a new street art style that continues to inspire artists worldwide.
