Repetition, rhythm, organic forms, and playful complexity often emerge in her pieces, creating layers of interest, and a sense of story. Wells is mostly self-taught, and she has worked as an artist for more than a decade. She is the author of Expressive Sketchbooks: Developing Creative Skills, Courage and Confidence, and she also teaches online classes to help fellow artists develop their own sketchbook practice. In 2014, she won the Winsor and Newton Watercolor Revolution Prize which resulted in her art being displayed in The Saatchi Gallery in London. Wells’s art has been included private collections around the world, featured on book covers and in magazines, and licensed for use on packaging, labels, and clothing lines
