Plaintiff, JENNIFER MEGAN BUDROCK, is the owner of the Copyright Registrations that protect the creative content of the Jennifer Budrock Works. Budrock is an independent artist and entrepreneur who specializes in cute-styled illustrations of companion bird species as well as bird-family portraits. She is also the founder and owner of Birdhisim, Inc., an organization dedicated towards bird rescue, sanctuary, and conservation efforts. She sells a range of illustrated stickers, prints, charms, clothing, home goods, and other accessories featuring her “Chubby Bird” designs, and the profits help support Birdhism’s mission.
Budrock has expended substantial time, money, and other resources in developing, advertising, and otherwise promoting the Jennifer Budrock Works. As a result, products associated with the Jennifer Budrock Works are recognized and exclusively associated by consumers, the public, and the trade as products authorized by Plaintiff (the “Jennifer Budrock Products”).
