JUSTIN BUA, is the owner of the Copyright Registrations that protect the creative content of the Justin Bua Works. Bua is an artist whose work is deeply inspired by the nascent moments of hip-hop culture, the underground, the marginalized, and the architects of real culture. He has been an artist since he was five years old. He attended the prestigious High School of Music & Performing Arts, followed by studies at the Art Students League and attending the Art Center College of Design. After graduation, he began his professional career designing slick bottom skateboards and creating storyboards for the film industry. By 1992, Bua had moved into creating posters, quickly capturing a worldwide audience. He is one of the first artists to paint and showcase elements of hip-hop culture, including DJing, MCing, breakdancing, and graffiti, on a large scale. His paintings often feature figures from both real life and his imagination who resonate with his childhood experiences growing up in the city. Bua has received numerous awards and recognition during his career, and exhibited in both the United States and internationally.
