Brand Introduction:
Plaintiff, Debra Ann Daniel, is the owner of the Copyright Registrationsthat protect the creative content of the Kevin Daniel Works. Debra is widow of the late Kevin Timothy Daniel. She inherited the ownership of her husband’s artworks, and she manages his legacy and business affairs. Kevin Daniel was a nationally acclaimed wildlife artist. Studying the works of classic artists like Rembrandt, Renoir, and Monet, he became amazed by their attention to detail, panoramic scenery, and use of colors. With his love and passion for nature, he focused on the realism of wildlife art, bringing to life the subtleties of the outdoors from a natural but unique position. Inspired by his upbringing in Minnesota, he wanted to capture the wildlife and nature in his paintings as well as share and reflect on memories with family and friends. He concentrated his work on waterfowl, earning him national awards and becoming a two-time Minnesota Duck Stamp Winner. In 1982 Kevin was honored by the United Services Organization, and in 1997 he was inducted to the U.S. Art Hall of Fame. His paintings can be found in private collections and galleries worldwide.
