Brand Introduction:
LAUREN MAREE EDMONDS, is the owner of the Copyright Registrations that protect the creative content of the Lauren Edmonds Works. Edmonds is a multimedia artist, designer, and illustrator. At a young age, Edmonds began entering art competitions and exhibiting at the age of thirteen. By eighteen, Plaintiff had produced two solo exhibitions and received several art awards. Edmond completed a Bachelor of Fine Art in 2015, and Plaintiff’s artwork I dun good (2015) was selected to exhibit in a national tour from 2018 to 2021. In 2016, after developing a chronic illness that made it difficult to continue a fine arts practice, Plaintiff established the design brand, Maratus Funk, creating and selling designs on print-on-demand platforms. From 2018, Edmonds worked professionally as an illustrator and multimedia designer while taking on private commissions. In recent years, Plaintiff has returned to practicing fine art and found renewed success—receiving several awards and placing in international competitions, as well as hosting a third solo art exhibition.
