Hein is a professional artist best known for painting the tropical landscapes, beaches, botanicals, and wildlife of Florida. Her passion is driven by the desire to create realistic expressions depicting the divine beauty of God’s creations. Her canvases burst into life with sparkling light and brilliant color forming breathtaking dramatic scenes. For over 30 years she has balanced her time painting with conducting workshops, teaching classes, and creating commissioned portraits.

Hein has been painting since the first grade when she picked up her first paintbrush. At age twelve she studied with Graham Ingels, illustrator of “Tales From the Crypt,” and then studied industrial design at the Columbus College of Art and Design where she was awarded the Katherine M. Tuttle Scholarship. After college, she married and started a family, considering art as a pastime. However, at age forty she suddenly needed to support her family by herself. She began painting portraits and teaching all mediums in her garage and at local country clubs, until a national publisher noticed her paintings of children and animals which launched her professional career in art licensing and reproductions.
