Plaintiff, Rongrong DeVoe, is the owner of the Copyright Registrations that protect the creative content of the Rongrong DeVoe Works. DeVoe is a fashion illustrator whose bold illustrations feature themes centered on female empowerment, self-love, and inclusion. Motivated and goal-oriented women will see themselves reflected in her fashion art. DeVoe worked as a concept artist until she earned her master’s degree in illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. After graduating she worked as a fashion designer for three years at several major fashion companies before launching her own brand. Her multi-product assortment of journals, planners, stamps, and other accessories at hobby and craft retailers has generated massive buzz on social media, sold out online and in stores, and generated multimillion dollar sales. DeVoe has also licensed artwork for use on apparel, cosmetics, calendars, gifts, tabletops, home textiles, wall décor, luggage and more. Her products can be located at major retailers including Target, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, Ulta Beauty, Hallmark, and Norstrom.
