Amy Brown is a self-taught artist who specializes in painting faeries. She has a whimsical, fantasy style. Brown’s artistic choices have heavily influenced the way faeries’ wing styles, clothing, and backgrounds are painted today. Plaintiff’s goal is to create images that inspire others to use their imagination and to help lift their spirits. Brown has been selling her art full-time for more than twenty-five years. Plaintiff has licensed for various products including cards, stickers, clothing, cosmetics, figurines, and many others. She has participated in group fantasy art shows at the Krab Jab Gallery and been featured on the cover of Faerie Magazine, now called Enchanted Living. Plaintiff’s first two art books released in 2003 and 2005 each sold over 100,000 copies.
