She creates watercolor art and illustrations of the many animals living on her small family farm. Plaintiff worked as a writer, producer, and show-runner for thirty years before retiring in 2013, moving to the countryside, and focusing on her art. Vela primarily works in watercolor and digital mediums, though she also experiments with collage, linocut, and dip pen. Plaintiff’s artwork is available as prints and on a variety of products, wallpaper and fabrics through various print-on-demand websites.
